When you start a new game, you are immediately taken to the GoalWord screen, which reveals your objective word, and its definitions. The definitions can be thought of different 'routes' to get to the goalword, and can represent different strategies for how to play your game. Hitting the arrow or swiping on, you see your startword. Your goalword is at the bottom of the screen, and you can swipe back or tap it to return to the definition view. Beside that are crumbs that represent the different pages of synonyms for your current word.
As you select a new words, you can slowly make your way to the goalword. If you are ever unsure of a word's meaning, you can tap the current word in the center of the screen to see its definition. Your last word will always be in the upper left hand corner and if your goal word is among the current word's synonyms, it will always be in the upper right.
When you complete a game, you given a score between 0 and 10,000 that is a function of duration, number of moves, obscurity of the goal word and the number of its definitions. Words with fewer synonyms, and words that are at the fringes of the database visualization will have a higher weight in determining the score.
The menu in the corner of the screen allows you to share your game on facebook or twitter, copy the your passcode to the clipboard to share with friends, sync weekly challenges and change your email address.
